Studio 12 - Church St. Montclair, NJ

Every Wednesday night, Greg Spinelli and his wife Cheryl run an open mic at 12 Church St., Montclair, NJ., upstairs from what USED to be the Market restaruant. This just in: Greg and Cheryl have now opened a new restaurant downstairs, "Tapastry",  featuring, no not Carol King, but tapas, and really good ones! Anyway, last Wedesday I "flipcamed" the action upstairs, featuring, among others,  Meg Beattie Patrick, Carl Croce, Greg Spinelli, Zach Halper (yes relation) and Carrie Cantor. Drop by and check it out live sometime.

For those of you who were heartbroken to have missed us in April, we're playing again upstairs at Tierney's, a fun old tavern in Montclair, NJ at 136 Valley Road. Special guests: Sock Monster

Experience Music Project

During a recent trip to Seattle, I had the opportunity to visit the Experience Music Project Sort of like a miniature Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame, with fantastic photos of rockers curated by Graham Nash, memorabilia and a really good exhibit about Jimi Hendrix. As well a guitar "statue".

Pete Kennedy recently performed live at Trumpets, in Montclair, NJ, for an Outpost in the Burbs benefit performance, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock. See how many 60s songs you can recognize!

El Kabong - Mass Romantic

 For those of you clamoring to hear my band, El Kabong again (I know, the sound is deafening), here is a cut from our latest album! Actually, it's from compilation disk from an organization of which are a part, Parents Who Rock. That means parents who participate in some adult-erated version of playing in a rock band, and it has nothing to do with rocking chairs. Parents Who Rock  is a non-profit which helps fund really worthwhile community projects such as the All-Children's Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center and the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, all in Montclair, NJ
